Waterfront Place, Springfield Basin — developer/letting-era render of the canal-side building complex.
The Story
Modern-build canal-side pub on the south side of Springfield Basin, part of the late-1990s wharf redevelopment. Closed December 2011. The building complex still bears the 'WATERFRONT PLACE' name in block letters on the retaining wall — the pub's ground-floor unit is now occupied by Waterfront Coffee, run by City Church Chelmsford; the rest of the complex is apartments.
