The Story
New pub opened December 1992. Renamed Poet 2005 then Water Poet. Was leased by David Bruce's Honeypot Inns chain. Pub redecorated and retains a four-room layout.
The name died with the Norton Folgate scheme. The building is slated to return as Kong, a Chinese public house — the same front door, if it opens, but not this pub. Anyone arriving at Folgate Street for the garden and the quiz will find neither.
