One of the great City drinking institutions, steps from the Stock Exchange and Bank of England. The entire street was a famous lunchtime corridor for traders and brokers. The Throgmorton Bar closed around 2008, part of the wholesale clearance of traditional pubs from the Square Mile as financial firms reclaimed the real estate.
