The Story
Seen on screen in The World's End. The World's End itself, last pub of the crawl. It opened in the 1930s as the Wilbury, traded for years as the Gardeners Arms, went back to the Wilbury, and wore the World's End name on its own sign for the length of the shoot. CAMRA recorded it as closed on 1 October 2025 and reclassified as a restaurant; the building now serves a carvery. A film about pubs quietly disappearing, and then this one did.
Ghost Hunter mode reveals 500+ closed and demolished pubs on the PINtPOINT radar — each one a room that once poured pints on that exact street corner.
Closure and address verified against CAMRA’s pub database. Last-pour archive from the venue’s Untappd check-ins.
