The Story
A modern Fuller's pub on Hounslow High Street, built on the site of the earlier King's Arms. CAMRA's 1976 Real Beer in London called it ‘a new pub’ whose handpumps operated electric switches; by 1981 it was a ‘modern pub with Roman theme’. It was one of the few Fuller's houses serving real ale in 1976, and it was in the brewery's 1977 Silver Jubilee ‘Quest for Silver’ passport. It later became Shannons, an Irish-themed pub and then a nightspot, closed in January 2007, and was demolished in 2012.
