The Story
Established 1541, rebuilt 1901. Originally at 26 Castle Street, the address had changed to 26 Furnival Street by 1893 — tucked at the easterly fringe of the City, at the junction of Furnival Street and Norwich Street, a short walk from Chancery Lane tube. In its final chapter it joined the Red Car family of pubs, alongside two other notable City houses: The Swan Tavern and The Bell.
Ghost Hunter mode reveals 500+ closed and demolished pubs on the PINtPOINT radar — each one a room that once poured pints on that exact street corner.
