Recorded in the 1983 CAMRA City of London guide. Closed w/es. Older style pub at one end of old Whitbread brewery. Wine & buffet bar upstairs. Later became the Chiswell Street Dining Rooms — a restaurant, not a pub. The Jugged Hare next door (49 Chiswell) is a separate building, formerly the King's Head.
