The Story
At 50 London Wall, the Scottish Pound was a Greene King house with a distinctive character — clan regalia in glass cases, tartan trim — serving the homesick Scots of the City's financial district. Its 'circular stairway to a downstairs bar' and its Greene King IPA are long gone. Paul Desmond walked past this pub on his way to the Stock Exchange floor in the early 1990s — a world that no longer exists.
