The Story
From the 1986 CAMRA City of London guide. An ex Nicholsons Tav. Rare basic City PH with semi-circular bar, unique in the City. This one time backstreet pub is a totally detached building (the rest being dealt with by the Adolf Hitler Demolition Co Ltd). Modern developers have not yet finished the job. Also, survival of the pub in the last large bomb site in the City, must be a matter of time. Darts, meals at lunchtime, snacks in the evening. Closed Saturday evenings and all Sunday.
