From the 1986 CAMRA City of London guide. Straight forward honest pub with wood panelling, furniture, and tables divided by 1/2 partitions. Darts, snacks in the evenings, meals at lunchtime. Weekday opening 11. 30-3pm and 5-11pm (10pm on Fridays). Open Saturday lunchtime. Reputed to be one ofthe original five 'Dirty Dick' pubs. Building owned by LRT as the tube runs below it. The tiles are said to date back to the time when this building was part of a poorhouse.
