The Story
A large 1930s Charrington pub in Welling, with a largely original facade. CAMRA's Real Beer in London listed it for Charrington IPA from 1975 to 1981; in 1981 it was a ‘large three bar pub, the Corner Bar only open at lunchtime’. It closed in January 2019. Planning permission followed for a shop with 19 flats, and the ground floor became a Co-op in 2022.
