The Story
A Courage pub on Norwood High Street, just behind West Norwood station, listed in CAMRA's Real Beer in London from 1976 to 1981; the 1981 guide called it ‘unspoilt and friendly’. It closed in 2007 and stood empty until August 2013, when it reopened as the Book and Record Bar, selling coffee, second-hand fiction and vinyl.
