Curated Collection

Some pub journeys are too big for a single day — or even a single town. PINtPOINT Curated Collections are long-distance, feature-length maps to explore over weeks, months, or years.

Davy's Wine Bars

The London family chain of sawdust cellars, City cellars and champagne rooms, still going 155 years after John Davy opened his first bar off the Strand in 1870.

Founded 1870 by John Davy at 57 Cannon Street. The 1970s wine-bar boom under John's descendants turned the chain into a fixture of the City drinking landscape — Bangers, the Boot & Flogger, the Colonel Jaspers of Clerkenwell. In 2015 the company added the three El Vino houses (Blackfriars, Fleet Street, London Bridge) to the estate.
